Preparing For Upcoming School Year
Jackson, Tenn. -- Although school’s out for most high school students, Jackson Central- Merry’s Leadership Team is using part of its summer to get ready for the upcoming school year. On Thursday, June 26, Virginia Stackens-Crump, principal of JCM, invited U.S. Navy Master Chief Evelyn Banks and Flag Aide Annie Gibbon (PIE Partners) to the school for words of encouragement and to offer assistance for the upcoming semester.
Principal Crump, who was also introduced as Jackson Central-Merry’s principal four years ago considers the 2008-09 year as her senior year as well. “This is my senior year at JCM,” Crump said. “I came to this school in 2004, with you guys.”

Stigall Graduates Reunite |

Humboldt, Tenn. -- It was a “Best Dress” and “Sharpest Suit” event for this year’s Stigall High School Alumni Banquet, held at Red’s Entertainment Complex in Humboldt. All graduates of Stigall High School were invited to attend this spectacular weekend reunion that began on June 27, and ended on June 30. Food, fun, and ol’ school stories were shared by alumni and guests. See for yourself how well the event turned out with the photo gallery. Fore! Golfing with the Brownsville Unit
Brownsville, Tenn. -- The Brownsville Unit has a Golf Club. There are currently 15 members of the Golf Club. Members of the Golf Club are given golf lessons two times a week during the summer. The lessons are taught by Mr. John Duckwork, an advisory board member of the Brownsville Unit.

Summer Skating Fun with the East Unit
Jackson, Tenn. -- Members of the East Unit's Summer Camp recently took a trip to Magic Wheels. It was one of several activities that summer members have enjoyed. East Unit members have had fun at Splash Day at Pringles Park, Safari Park in Alamo, Tenn., and Touch-a-Truck at Jackson Fairgrounds Park.
East Unit has averaged 97 children a day for the summer program. During school, this site averages approximately 140 children a day. Follow Me Students Dress For Success In Week 4
Jackson, Tenn. -- The Follow Me Into Business students wrapped up their required four weeks of classroom instruction with “dressing for success.” Students were dressed in their Sunday best to make a final impression on Follow Me instructors Mary Weddle and Bill Marable before entering their on-site job training.Above, Natiyona Cole is given an interview by Mary Weddle (instructor).
